I love a role that I can ground somewhere in myself. There are actors who love to extend themselves, I like to find extensions of myself.

Just knowing that I had the complexity and the capacity as an actor to play the kinds of roles I always wanted to play. I think I had always wanted to go down a certain road, but I had insecurities about whether or not I could really focus on that. So when I did that, it felt so good. I realized these kinds of complex roles and this kind of material is what I can steer myself toward. I don't have to worry if I’m good enough for it.

I am trying to do different genres because as actors, it is important to step out of our comfort zone, and that is what helps you better your craft.

I think I’ve evolved as an actor. My performance was appreciated. People are saying I am not a one-film wonder. That’s the best part of being in this film.

As an actor, I love the ability to immerse myself in different characters and bring stories to life. Acting allows you to explore diverse emotions, experiences, and perspectives, enabling you to connect with audiences on an emotional level.

But as an actor you do want to challenge yourself and step outside what you have done in the past and that what I like to do, I like to jump around and try different things and stretch myself.

I feel that in order to truly be an actor, you have to differentiate yourself and your roles.

I wanted to break boundaries for myself as an actor, where it's not to tell the story and do a good job, but to go to another level where I feel free.

The thing I love about acting is, whatever character you play, it gives you the chance to expose another side of yourself that maybe you’ve never felt comfortable with, or never knew about. Not that every character is you, but there are underlying emotions that everybody has. I feel that movies are gifts that come to you, and there are no accidents in what you end up doing. I study Jung, who talks a lot about the shadow side, the repressed side.

One of the things I enjoy the most is the thrill of stepping into different characters and fully immersing myself in their world. It’s like going on an adventure every time I take on a new role. Exploring their backgrounds, motivations, and emotions is like unlocking a treasure trove of human experiences. It allows me to stretch my creativity and push the boundaries of what I thought was possible.* When you’re playing someone, I feel the character taking over me, but I am also influencing the character. Becoming embodied in the character on set is, what I think, makes a really powerful actor. If the character is good enough in a script, it really affects you. This is why I try and become the character for one or two weeks.

As an actor, it really puts you there, like you’re really that person, you’re not yourself, you’re not dressing like yourself any more, you’re really embodying a different era. That’s really one of the most exciting things about acting for me, is the dress-up aspect of it.
