Thus times do shift, each thing his turn does hold;
New things succeed, as former things grow old.

All things change, and we change amongst them.

Times change, and people change; and if our hearts do not change as readily, so much the worse for us.

Every day we are changing, every day we are dying, and yet we fancy ourselves eternal.

The things we see every day are the things we never see at all.

Times had changed.
Sooner or later, they always did.

Listen, days decay, like food, like fish, like dead bodies. This night will decay, too and you will forget. Listen, we will forget.

Every day things happen in the world that cannot be explained by any law of things we know. Every day they're mentioned and forgotten, and the same mystery that brought them takes them away, transforming their secret into oblivion. Such is the law by which things that can't be explained must be forgotten. The visible world goes on as usual in the broad daylight. Otherness watches us from the shadows.

And each day brings it's pretty dust,
Our soon-choked souls to fll
And we forget because we must,
And not because we will.

Times change so quickly that if you and I don't keep up with the times, we'll find ourselves with an umbrella in our hand, over our head, when the sun is out. Or we'll find ourselves standing in the rain, with the umbrella inside the door.

Things can change in a day.

These things were lost to oblivion like so much about so many who are born and die without anyone ever taking the time to write it all down.

Time is in us and we are in time. It changes us and we change it.
