Empowering women would result in improving the lives of many households in the country and ultimately deal with pockets of poverty.

Rural women inspire me. They are the passion of my life and I will do everything and anything for their empowerment. Their knowledge and expertise are crying for a receptive ear, for powerful questions that will unearth and challenge their wisdom.

Give back hope to young people who no longer have confidence in the political class and to improve the condition of women, especially rural women, who are sidelined by society.

It finds women on their marriage beds, especially rural women.

Iroto we work with rural women. Christian training is transmitted under the guidelines of Opus Dei, we talk to them about virtues, values and ethics in the family, in society and in government.

Nothing ages a woman like living in the country.

Our country has taken a number of steps to mainstream gender perspectives in poverty-reduction strategies. These have led to the implementation of various income support programmes including development initiatives for rural women

I engage rural women on their struggles as women because during my tenure as chairperson of the Multi-Party Women’s Caucus, I and the leadership of the ANC in the Eastern Cape managed to address the challenge of "ukuthwala” (forced marriage of young girls) where at one point we managed to return young girls who had been taken from Flagstaff.

Conditions for all women will improve when there are more women in leadership roles giving strong and powerful voice to their needs and concerns.13

Young women need to invest in their personal development and we need to educate women especially in the rural areas who don't understand much about their rights.
