I don't think about my childhood much. I don't think it's a legitimate explanation of one's life. I think in order to survive one must be reborn, one must overcome one's childhood, the injustices, and recognize the privileges. You can't use your past as an alibi.

Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash.

So the great affair is over but whoever would have guessed it would leave us all so vacant and so deeply unimpressed. It's like our visit to the moon or to that other star I guess you go for nothing if you really want to go that far.
