This accumulation of skills for controlling the environment, technology, is another means to reaching the same end, the realization of the conceivable in the possible.

Both Freudianism and feminism came as reactions to one of the smuggest periods in Western civilization, the Victorian Era, characterized by its family-centredness, and thus its exaggerated sexual oppression and repression. Both movements signified awakening: but Freud was merely a diagnostician for what feminism purports to cure.
