I knew right away I would have lots of fun playing a passionate, devoted district-attorney committed to fight for the good but dealing all along with family problems, ex-husband, personal life, love and much more... That was like playing two parts in one, as many people in real life, my character was definitely not the same in private than in her professional life.

I fell in love with the craft of acting. Breaking down a scene, finding the beat, understanding character motivation – all of these things became real to me on a level that I had never before appreciated. It was more than just memorizing lines; it was excitement and never in a million years before this, did I think that this would be a job for me. And that was exciting as well!
As an actor I want to play as many different characters as possible. Throughout my career I’ve had the great opportunity to do just that and I love every second of it. Every new role is challenging and a learning experience. Some experiences have been less smooth than others, but overall there is never a dull moment and that’s what life is all about to me.
The role was challenging because it required me to portray a character undergoing significant internal conflict. It’s about a person torn between societal expectations and personal desires, caught in a whirlwind of love, friendship, and sacrifice. This character’s inner turmoil mirrors the external challenges they face, and I hope this depth resonates with the audience.
Somehow, acting brings out parts of your personality that maybe you didn’t know were there, or the character brings out some little part of you that has been dormant for your whole life, you know? And then when you get the chance to play these characters, some-times things come out of you that are quite surprising and that you don’t even know are inside of you. It’s an amazing thing to experience that.
I think that when I play roles I become a completely different person for that time. But of course it is a virtual, an unreal person. Playing those roles gives me great pleasure and enjoyment. I think what happens with the audience is that they themselves identify maybe with one of the characters -- it might be any character in a movie -- and for a time they can enjoy being somebody else and enjoy another life for awhile. It gives them that opportunity.
