I want to make a poem of my life.

I consider myself a poet first and a musician second. I live like a poet and I'll die like a poet.

Throughout all of the changes that have happened in my life, one of the priorities I've had is to never change the way I write songs and the reasons I write songs. I write songs to help me understand life a little more. I write songs to get past things that cause me pain. And I write songs because sometimes life makes more sense to me when it's being sung in a chorus, and when I can write it in a verse.

All the songs are my personal experiences and journey through life. I hope to touch everyone with this album and I pray the people find it worthwhile

For me, how I feel about what I wrote down turns into a song.

I will dream to become a great writer or great poet of the world.

We will continue to make poems out of our lives, until freedom is declaimed above the broken chains of all oppressed peoples.

Why poetry, you ask? Because of life, I answer.

He who would write heroic poems should make his whole life a heroic poem.

I shall have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love, love, love, above all. Love as there has never been in a play. Unbiddable, ungovernable, like a riot in the heart and nothing to be done, come ruin or rapture.

Once I dreamed I'd write songs.

I want my poems to give voice to something in the experience of a life. To find ourselves spoken for in art gives dignity to our pain, our anger, our losses.

I will make the poems of materials, for I think they are to be the most spiritual poems; And I will make the poems of my body and of mortality, For I think I shall then supply myself with the poems of my soul, and of immortality.

if I had to live my life again, I would have made a rule to read some poetry and listen to some music at least once every week;
