Intentions don’t matter. Actions do. That’s why being ethical is hard.

There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with cloudy or multifaceted intentions. If your goals aren’t synced with the substance of your heart, then achieving them won’t matter much.

But you would not know this from reading Chomsky. For him, intentions do not seem to matter. Body count is all.
