It's a small world after all

The world is narrow, broad the mind—
Thoughts dwell easily side by side
Things collide violently in space

"My heart is so small
it's almost invisible.
How can You place
such big sorrows in it?
"Look," He answered,
"your eyes are even smaller,
yet they behold the world.

Is this wide world not large enough to fill thee,
Nor Nature, nor that deep man's Nature, Art?
Are they too thin, too weak and poor to still thee,
Thou little heart?

The child, in love with prints and maps,
Holds the whole world in his vast appetite.
How large the earth is under the lamplight!
But in the eyes of memory, how the world is cramped!

There is sadness and confusion in our hearts / And the world prepares to fight / as it tears itself apart, it isn't fair
