fundamentally it is a problem of education, of early training-we must bring up feminist sons.

We have to get girls educated. Education that does not put them down is needed in society. We have to open up, talk and write, hold up these negative trends for discussion, analysis, abolition, and possibly banning. As far as Iʼm concerned, society needs attitudinal change.

I think women should know how to be cultured and traditional, yet independent. That balance is important. Every woman should have the strength to speak for herself.

We must nurture and empower our young girls. .. we can lift them up through education. They are the future. Without equal access to education for girls, Africa will not become the power house of the world. We need girls in school not as brides. ’’

To empower women, we should ensure that all young girls receive their education. The benefits of this education will trickle down not only to their families but nationwide as well.

We need women to have self-confidence that they can change, that this is the revolution we need and this is the revolution we deserve.

The first task which faces women is to insist in all countries upon full rights and equal education with men; to try with all their might to develop their thinking faculties, and, above all, to learn to stand on their own feet without leaning altogether upon men. If you educate a man, you educate an individual but if you educate a woman you educate a nation.

Be independent and be a lady.

If we are to use women for the same things as the men, we must also teach them the same things.

I am also passionate about the importance of educating all citizens of South Africa with a particular focus on young girls. I strongly believe that education gives women a greater degree of independence and we are likely to see more progress in a society where we educate young girls

We had to change women's mentality-accustomed as they were to playing a secondary role in society. Our women had endured years of discrimination. We had to show her her own possibilities, her ability to do all kinds of work. We had to make her feel the urgent needs of our revolution in the construction of a new life. We had to change both woman's image of herself and society's image of women.
