Being FEARLESS isn't being 100% Not FEARFUL, it's being terrified but you jump anyway...

Fearlessness is not the absence of fear. It's the mastery of fear. It's about getting up one more time than we fall down.

Fear is the greatest obstacle to learning. But fear is your best friend. Fear is like fire. If you learn to control it, you let it work for you. If you don’t learn to control it, it’ll destroy you and everything around you. Like a snowball on a hill, you can pick it up and throw it or do anything you want with it before it starts rolling down, but once it rolls down and gets so big, it’ll crush you to death. So one must never allow fear to develop and build up without having control over it, because if you don’t you won’t be able to achieve your objective or save your life.

Seems to me that if you're afraid or living with some big fear, you're not really living. You're only half alive. I don't care if it’s the boss you're scared of or a lot of people in a room or diving off of a dinky little board, you gotta get rid of it. You owe it to yourself. Makes sort of a zombie out of you being afraid. I mean you want to be free, don't you? And how can you if you are scared? That's prison. Fear's a jailer. Mind now, I'm not a professor on the subject. I just found it out for myself. But that's what I think.

Heroes are never born fearless. They become heroes by facing their fears, by meeting them head on and saying, 'You do not control me, or own me anymore.

To me fearless isn't not having fears, it's not that you're not afraid of anything. I think that being fearless is having a lot of fears, but you jump anyway.

No one is born with fear: we learn it, create it, and perpetuate it. Therefore, fear's biggest secret is we also control it.

the question is not how to get rid of fear, but how to awaken the intelligence with which to face and to understand and go beyond fear.

To learn what we fear is to learn who we are.
