Faith is a dark night for man, but in this very way it gives him light.

Faith brings peace. Faith brings joy.

Faith opens our hearts for the entrance of the holy. It is almost as though God were thinking for us.

Faith smothers your fear of the unknown. Faith allows you to take risks. Faith is the stuff of “leap and the net will appear.” Faith is your best buddy when you’re scared shitless.

Our faith is a light by nature coming of our endless Day, that is our Father, God. In which light our Mother, Christ, and our good Lord, the Holy Ghost, leadeth us in this passing life. This light is measured discreetly, needfully standing to us in the night. The light is cause of our life; the night is cause of our pain and of all our woe: in which we earn meed and thanks of God. For we, with mercy and grace, steadfastly know and believe our light, going therein wisely and mightily.

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.

Thus I saw and understood that our faith is our light in our night: which light is God, our endless Day.

This faith can give us courage to face the uncertainties of the future. It will give our tired feet new strength as we continue our forward stride toward the city of freedom. When our days become dreary with low-hovering clouds and our nights become darker than a thousand midnights, we will know that we are living in the creative turmoil of a genuine civilization struggling to be born.

Faith includes noticing the mess, the emptiness and discomfort, and letting it be there until some light returns. Faith also means reaching deeply within, for the sense one was born with, the sense, for example, to go for a walk.

Faith makes it possible to achieve that which man's mind can conceive and believe.

We will experience the life we have the faith to experience.

Faith is a letting down our nets into the untransparent deeps at the divine command, not knowing what we shall take.

Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark.

We grow accustomed to the Dark — When Light is put away — As when the Neighbor holds the Lamp

Directly in the Forehead — But as they learn to see — Either the Darkness alters — Or something in the sight
Adjusts itself to Midnight — And Life steps almost straight.
