I commend the initiative of the Women of Worth Global Group. This is a major milestone in promoting women and giving them hope in politics and all spheres of life.

Whatever her subsequent political shortcomings may have been, progressive women were very proud of her at that time.

As for Kudirat too, the heroine of democracy, I felt so highly elated that I am being honoured along with those two heroines. I feel proud about it.

I truly appreciate his decision to given women a leading role in politics. Women have now been elevated. Even the Lord says love your mother and your father.

We had a lot of women’s associations from legal, security, education and from human rights. They were all there and they were all supportive and actually spoke and said they were very happy that the PPP has kept its promise.

Your Invitation to women deliver proof for our common commitment to empowering women. I thank you for what I have done in this respect.

I'm pleased that the President announced there will be gender parity.

It will make our women folk proud that indeed a woman tried – a woman participated in the process of choosing leaders of both houses.
