Oh, we want to blow that little trumpet now, do we? Yeah, OK, let's get that dog whistle out.

They're rather confusing." "Confusing? I thought they were just to brighten things up." "You have two different signals up. They read, Bubonic plague, give me a wide berth. Am coming to your assistance."

If we could all sound like we wanted to, we’d sound like George Jones.

Word of mouth — it's more powerful, more convincing, and more audible than word of hand. If you need me, I’ll be in the audience clapping.

The chance of receiving a signal from a civilization exactly as advanced as we are should be minuscule. If they were even a little behind us, they would lack the technological capability to communicate with us at all. So the most likely signal would come from a civilization much more advanced.
