Nella Silicon Valley c'è la visione che è condivisa largamente nel mondo. Ed è materialista e riduzionista, per la quale l’essere umano è una macchina e la realtà è descrivibile dalla fisica classica degli oggetti che si muovono nello spazio-tempo. È anche l’inganno dell’attuale intelligenza artificiale, che è più “logo” per vendere che una cosa vera. In questa visione la coscienza e l’esperienza vengono classificati come semplici fenomeni misurabili e descrivibili matematicamente, quando invece non lo sono. Per questo la descrizione attuale della intelligenza artificiale è in realtà fuorviante.
