The most important thing is that we show determination to continue the dialogue and that we will always try to solve everything by talking. I want to believe that it is possible.

We are determined to get a deal. We recognise that a no-deal Brexit would be a very bad outcome for the UK and we are doing everything we can to avoid that,

We JAH people can make it work.

We are just beginning to know the truth and we must be very serious about this. God willing, we shall succeed.

People want us to show them that governance is working and that we're focused on these issues and moving forward

I don't believe in people just hoping. We work for what we want. I always say that one has no right to hope without endeavor, so we work to try and bring about the situation that is necessary for the country, and we are confident that we will get to the negotiation table at one time or another.

Something has to give and we are happy to be working on this solution with our UK partners,

Our business is to help get everything possible done to make sure the "last" chance for a peaceful development of the revolution, to help by the presentation of our programme, by making clear its national character, its absolute accord with the interests and demands of a vast majority of the population.

My delegation remains convinced that only durable solutions, including voluntary and freely consented returns, can put an end to the suffering of displaced persons. I would like to welcome the initiative to establish a platform to support durable solutions for the situation in the Central African Republic.

And even if the bill is not successful, I hope it will spark a conversation that will enable something to change or the introduction of something better.

We do not want that dreaded death sentence, and we have come here today to say, 'Try harder,'

We welcome constructive criticism and will abide by our commitment to address the concern of the community at large on the issue.

It’s a very good thing to have in place, but the problem is always implementation. So you learn from experience. You need cooperation to make it work – and attitudes are always difficult to change. You introduce it slowly, you hope people will develop interest.

We are going to fight to save the party and by God we think we can. We are going to start fighting for a Labour Party worthy of the name.
