I don't like discussing my private life in public. It feels strange.

I’m very, very private; I don’t enjoy talking about myself to strangers...Particularly strangers with tapes going.

I don't like talking about my personal life. My age is not known to the public and I am not revealing it because I see no reason to.

I have learnt to keep my privacy out of the public purview especially in discussions with journalists. But there is nothing hidden in my life. I live a very open life. But I decided from day one not to discuss my family on the pages of newspapers, because it is not fair to them. They do not have the opportunity to present themselves the way they would have liked to. And that is not fair.

Never reveal all of yourself to other people; hold back something in reserve so that people are never quite sure if they really know you.

But if there’s something you gain, there’s also something you can lose. Therefore, I try not to showcase my personal life.

For me, I value privacy so much and I understand why I need to talk about the work, the films and all of that but it's incredibly hard to reveal stuff about my life, so it makes me feel pretty boring and very protective.

When I'm with someone, I try to hide a little and keep a low profile because I really don't like people to know. “I am very well alone, but I have been alone in Europe for four months and the truth is I would love to share this moment of my life with someone ,”

Actually that’s my secret — I can’t even talk about you to anybody because I don’t want any more people to know how wonderful you are.

It has always been my vision to be scandal free, keeping my private life away from my public life. Appreciate me for my movies and what you see on screen, but my life is my life. I treasure that and I just want to keep it that way.

I think we keep the secrets from ourselves. Because we have experienced a moment when you look into a person’s eyes and you see that how they are looking at you is dehumanising. In that moment, all your humanity is lost. And it’s unbearable. We keep that secret from our daughters, because we don’t want them to be seen in that way.

Let us not allow the world to see our shame, let us keep our secrets from those who may seek to mock us

Perhaps I'm hiding from myself. Perhaps I don't want to be what I'm supposed to be. Or perhaps I don't want to keep living the life I already started to live.

If you want to keep a secret, you must also hide it from yourself.
