He [Obama] lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!

If an election can cause us to lose everything, what is it exactly that we have in the first place?

NDC know they are losing the elections.

In a revolution one wins or dies, if it is a real one.

I voted last week, and everything I voted for was defeated. I voted for less police station money and against adding more courtrooms. The guy I voted for, a congressman, lost big time because he's totally anti-military. He wanted to cut the CIA budget! He's really cool. But he lost.

If we keep disagreeing with Reform on many and fundamental things, we won't get those votes back.
We have no God-given right to them. Any Tory leader who rejects Reform voters, doubles down on the disastrous decisions the last cabinet let Rishi Sunak make.

If your vote becomes a cause of your death or property destruction, if it leads to arson, then that signals the end of democracy.

We may lose the vote today, and the result may deal this party a grave blow. It may not be possible to prevent it, but there are some of us, I think many of us, who will not accept that this blow need be mortal: who will not believe that such an end is inevitable. There are some of us who will fight, and fight, and fight again, to save the party we love. We will fight, and fight, and fight again, to bring back sanity and honesty and dignity, so that our party – with its great past – may retain its glory and its greatness.

Half a revolution is not better than none... It may, in fact, be worse.

There are worse things than losing an election; the worst thing is to lose one's convictions and not tell the people the truth.

Those who stay away from the election think that one vote will do no good. 'Tis but one step more to think one vote will do no harm.

However, bit by bit, the euphoria of the elections — and of the revolution as a whole — was fading out, for every day we were waking up to the news of violence

A former Democratic congressman gave me this explanation of why voting irregularities more often crop up in his party’s back yard: ‘When many Republicans lose an election, they go back into what they call the private sector. When many Democrats lose an election, they lose power and money. They need to eat, and people will do an awful lot in order to eat.’

So Theresa May has lost her vote. Many people will be asking what does that even mean. It means we were betrayed. Today is supposed to be our Independence Day.
