The beauty of the world is the tender smile of Christ to us through matter. He is really present in universal beauty. Love of this beauty proceeds from God and descends into our souls and goes out to God present in the universe. It too is something like a sacrament.

When one has once fully entered the realm of love, the world — no matter how imperfect — becomes rich and beautiful, it consists solely of opportunities for love.

Why is the world so beautiful? is a question that we all ought to be embracing.

Glorious indeed is the world of God around us, but more glorious the world of God within us.

To love someone means to see them as God intended them.

Love leads to knowledge of the Divine mysteries and those who love abide in God and look to Him only, and He is nearer to them than all else and to them in given a vision of Him unveiled and they see Him with the eye of certainty.

Knowledge makes the world so much more beautiful.

Love is the source of our hope/ Love is the basis of our vision/ Love is the goal of our progress/ Love is our world.

But what is the use of making the world more beautiful if the people who live in it can't love one another?

I am in love with the world.

It is good to be told, in a world often marked by violence, poverty, and despair, that God loves us.
