What if everything that you see, is more than what you see? The person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it or accept that there is more to the world than you think. Perhaps it is really a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things.

God is behind everything, but everything hides God. Things are black, creatures are opaque. To love a being is to render that being transparent.

Everything one sees is merely a projection of what one does not see, its true nature and substance. p315

Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.

Darkness within darkness. The gateway to all understanding

Formerly we used to represent things visible on earth, things we either liked to look at or would have liked to see. Today we reveal the reality that is behind visible things, thus expressing the belief that the visible world is merely an isolated case in relation to the universe and that there are many more other, latent realities. Things appear to assume a broader and more diversified meaning, often seemingly contradicting the rational experience of yesterday. There is a striving to emphasize the essential character of the accidental.

So everything is something else.

Something deeply hidden had to be behind things.

The first-beginnings of things cannot be seen by the eyes.

Every created thing in the whole universe is but a door leading into His knowledge, a sign of His sovereignty, a revelation of His names, a symbol of His majesty, a token of His power, a means of admittance into His straight Path...

The thing that is important is the thing that is not seen
