You have to remember that your feelings, while valid, are not often real. They are not always accurate reflections of reality. They are, however, always accurate reflections of our thoughts.

Focus on what does, and what will, matter: the things you won't always have. You will not have all of your family members around forever. You may not be in close proximity to a friend a few years down the line. You will never be right where you are again, and you will look back and wish you took advantage of everything right now has to offer.
