Here the wild will woke within her lighting up her flying dreams,
Round and round the planets whirling break in woods and flowers and streams,
And the winds are shaken from them as the leaves from off the rose,
And the feet of earth go dancing in the way that beauty goes,
And the souls of earth are kindled by the incense of her breath
As her light alternate lures them through the gates of birth and death.

See mother earth her offspring's fate bemoan, And nations gaze at scenes before unknown! See the bright beams of heaven's revolving light Involved in sorrows and the veil of night! The goddess comes, she moves divinely fair,

When a sincere woman begins to dance, the seven heavens, the earth, and all creatures begin to dance.

She hath smiles to earth unknown— Smiles that with motion of their own Do spread, and sink, and rise.

Immortal rhythms swayed in her time-born steps;
Her look, her smile awoke celestial sense
Even in earth-stuff, and their intense delight
Poured a supernal beauty on men’s lives.

She is the sum of nature's universe.
To her perfection all of beauty tends.

She was here on earth to make sense of its wild enchantments.

For all that Nature by her mother-wit Could frame in earth.

She dwelleth in the Ground — Where Daffodils — abide — Her Maker — Her Metropolis — The Universe — Her Maid — To fetch Her Grace — and Hue — And Fairness — and Renown — The Firmament's — To Pluck Her — And fetch Her Thee — be mine —

Her breath a warm fire In every lovers heart A mistress to magicians And a dancer to the gods

She was our queen, our rose, our star;
And then she danced—O Heaven, her dancing!

Nature, exerting an unwearied power, Forms, opens, and gives scent to every flower; Spreads the fresh verdure of the field, and leads The dancing Naiads through the dewy meads.

She moves like and angel And seven evening stars Dance through the window Of her universal house

The negligence of Nature wide and wild,
Where, undisguised by mimic art, she spreads
Unbounded beauty to the roving eye.
