A cowardly leader is the most dangerous of men.

Pain is a coward. He flees when faced by the irresistible power of the will-to-live, which is more strongly rooted in the flesh than the intensest passion is rooted in the spirit.

The most dangerous poison is the feeling of achievement. The antidote is to everyday think what can be done better tomorrow. Stay hungry.

A coward judges all he sees by what he is.

Remorse is the poison of life.

Part of being a coward is wanting security.

To be proud of virtue, is to poison yourself with the Antidote.

The nature of a coward is to avoid death. If such a man courts peril there can be only two reasons. Either he is not a coward at all — or there is no danger.

Call him tyrant, murderer, pirate, bully; and he will adore you, and swagger about with the consciousness of having the blood of the old sea kings in his veins. Call him liar and thief; and he will only take an action against you for libel. But call him coward; and he will go mad with rage: he will face death to outface that stinging truth. Man gives every reason for his conduct save one, every excuse for his crimes save one, every plea for his safety save one; and that one is his cowardice. Yet all his civilization is founded on his cowardice, on his abject tameness, which he calls his respectability.

A coward is much more exposed to quarrels than a man of spirit.

Anything that makes weak - physically, intellectually and spiritually, reject it as poison.

Cowardice is impotence worse than violence. The coward desires revenge but being afraid to die, he looks to others, maybe to the government of the day, to do the work of defense for him. A coward is less than a man. He does not deserve to be a member of a society of men and women.
