Freedom does not mean doing what you can get away with, doing what you please. It means, instead, having the opportunity to do what you ought to do--for family and for community and for humanity as a whole.

Freedom is the will to be responsible for ourselves.

Freedom means having power; not the power to control other people but the power to control the circumstances of one's own life.

Freedom comes from understanding the limits of our own power and the natural limits set in place by divine providence. By accepting life’s limits and inevitabilities and working with them rather than fighting them, we become free. If, on the other hand, we succumb to our passing desires for things that aren’t in our control, freedom is lost.

Freedom is man's capacity to take a hand in his own development. It is our capacity to mold ourselves.

Freedom is not a thing that we have, but a thing that we do.

We think freedom means that we can pursue all our desires. Real freedom is letting go of things not wanted, the unchecked desires that leas us to unwanted ends.
