in the flood
which has yet to come

in the prison
that has yet to exist

Not having played
the game of chess
I'm already the checkmate

Not having tasted
a single cup of your wine
I'm already drunk

Not having entered
the battlefield
I'm already wounded and slain

I no longer
know the difference
between image and reality

Like the shadow
I am
and

Birds make great sky-circles of their freedom.

I came alive

I became laughter

All because of love
when it arrived
my temporal life
from then on
changed to eternal

you are not

became crazy
crazy enough
to be in chains

you are not
intoxicated enough

fit the group

I went and
got drunk
drunk enough
to overflow
with light-headedness

you are still
too clever
filled with
imagination and skepticism

became gullible
and in fright
pulled away
from it all

you are a candle
attracting everyone
gathering every one
around you

I am no more
a candle spreading light
I gather no more crowds
and like smoke
I am all scattered now

you are a teacher

just a servant

you already have

pulled itself apart
and filled to the brim
with a new light
