There should be no general election until 2020. There should be a normal Autumn Statement, held in the normal way at the normal time, and no emergency Budget.

The 2024 election is about "reversing the negative trend" set by the current government and emphasized the need for accountability, prosperity, and job creation.

Then some sort of election race is being created. The elections are not until the year 2000, but already now such a situation is being created that everybody seems to be striving for elections. Of course, such a situation cannot be tolerated any more. Here, on the contrary, there must be a united team. The team must be close-knit and work as a single fist.

Like many of you, I watched the [September 9, 2024 presidential candidate] debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.
Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. It's up to my people, if they want me to contest the (Vanuatu general) election in 2024 or if there are any by-elections from now onwards. It's up to the constituency, as well as my political party (Vanua'aku Pati). I don't decide myself.

2014 was a mandate for hope and aspiration, 2019 is about confidence and acceleration. 2014 was about some immediate needs the country had, 2019 is about what India wants! We have empowered aspirations and facilitated the innate appetite for upward mobility that is in our people. We took obstacles out of the people’s path and instead, enabled them.

There is no other choice. Modiji has to come back. It will be dangerous for the country if someone else wins. That’s why we all (BJP members) are working hard to bring him back.

I am well-prepared. I am telling you, I am poised and prepared for the 2024 elections. I am not contesting any incumbent Member of Parliament. I am told there is a certain woman who contested twice in a certain constituency and is running away from the constituency. The person should come and tell us what she has done in Okaikwei North [and] why the people of Okaikwei North should even listen to her. You are a sitting Member of Parliament. You are going to be paid until December even as we are going into the elections, and you’re bringing all their salaries into Okaikwei North. You are taking their Common Fund, and you’re in Okaikwei North. How sure are we that in the unlikely event that we give you our constituency, you will not run away and go into another constituency with our resources? It will not happen. We will protect this seat. I am poised for a showdown in 2024. I will retain this seat, and we will bring in His Excellency John Dramani Mahama .

In the face of our (KMT) unprecedented, crushing defeat (in 2014 Republic of China local and municipal election), we have no time for a power struggle.
