Nothing is important but what we do and how well we do it. If money comes-well and good; if not-we may regret not having had the thrill of plenty to carry out our dreams; but there is comfort in the thought of having lived without being tempted away from our principles by too much consideration for a pile of money. When I was young I used to think that money was the most important thing in life. Now that I am old, I know it is.

Having the basics — a good bed to sleep in, good relationships, good food, and good sex — is most important, and those things don’t get much better when you have a lot of money or much worse when you have less. And the people one meets at the top aren’t necessarily more special than those one meets at the bottom or in between.

Money is a good thing to run after. It is very important to be financially stable but you have to keep your wrongs and rights in mind. Don't shy away from earning but without selling your soul.

I've been very lucky to have achieved a lot of the things that I dreamt of achieving as a young man. But, at the end of the day – and I truly believe this – it is not about achieving great wealth or success. Because they don't bring happiness ultimately. They really don't. What matters is whether or not you've fulfilled the idea of having led an interesting life, whether you've contributed in some way to the world around you.

It’s good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it’s good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure you haven’t lost the things that money can’t buy.

I take pride in the fact that I decided very early in life that I wasn’t going to let my circumstance get in the way of my dreams.

Just remember: I was a kid who loved the same things you do. I had no special powers or abilities. Just able to dream big and figure out the steps that needed to be taken to realize those dreams.

For some of us, money is vital and crucial but not paramount. It’s simply a tool, a source of power used in service of others and a life well lived.

The most important thing is that little kids, little girls have a dream they can accomplish now.

Money is unimportant, but it is reassuring to have it.

I don't miss my youth. I'm glad I had one, but I wouldn't like to start over.

I am grateful for the blessings of wealth, but it hasn't changed who I am. My feet are still on the ground. I'm just wearing better shoes.

There were lots of challenges. There were days when I didn’t have money; days when my school fees were delayed. I didn’t have a lot of things that my mates had but I knew I was going to have them one day as I knew that with God on my side, I was going to work hard and ensure that those things I didn’t have then, I could have them when working so I got stuck to school.
