Taking risks is an inherent part of life; it's only dangerous when you act as though you're not taking a risk.

Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing

The question is not whether to take risks, but which ones to take. The peril of being reasonable is that you will miss all the fun. It’s not enough to cautiously edge your way toward the cliff. Learn to revel in taking risks for the sake of your soul. Every choice you make gives birth instantly to certain risks as surely as your shadow follows you.

Very few things are as dangerous as a bunch of incentive-driven individuals trying to play it safe.

To be more safe, they at length become willing to run the risk of being less free.

Sometimes, the greatest safety can be found in taking the right risk. Whether it be an individual, a community or a country, when faced with tragedy or fearful uncertainty, we either become bigger and enter life more fully, or else we accept a diminished life and resign ourselves to a smaller way of being.

It is when we all play safe that we create a world of utmost insecurity. It is when we all play safe that fatality will lead us to our doom. It is in the "dark shade of courage" alone that the spell can be broken.

Everything in life has some risk, and what you have to actually learn to do is how to navigate it.

What is there to say? Risk taking is painful. Either you are willing to bear the pain yourself or you try to pass it on to others. Anyone who is in a risk taking business but cannot face the consequences is no good.

The more we think about risk, the more risk seem to be.
