I want to say: you don’t need to change who you are.

Let me be that I am and seek not to alter me.

Change is actually what you need to avoid.
Assimilation is much more joyful than conformity,
when you try to change you try to fit yourself to other people's standards.
You deny your own values and opinions, and you adopt a personality that isn't you.
And most likely you will be more uncomfortable even though it may seem like you fit in more, i would suggest you not to change. Just be yourself, the way you are.
Because that's what makes you different and distinguishable and unique from every other individual.

Often, when people advise, ‘Just be yourself,’ it’s a way of saying, ‘Don’t grow and change.’ What’s more, friends offer this advice when just being yourself has left you miserable and lonely. What they are really telling you is to stick with what you know, to stay with what is comfortable. And what I am telling you is that the new and improved you is you. You are not changing who you are, you are becoming who you are.

Note to self: don't change for anyone

I never want to change so much that people can't recognize me.

First thing I say to girls is be yourself, don't try to be something else. Respect yourself and everyone will respect you. I worked in a man's world, everywhere I went I was practically the only woman, but they respected me.

True belonging doesn't require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are.

Don't ask the world to change....you change first.

Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successfull personality and duplicate it.

Don't let them change you....or even re-arrange you.

But you cannot change what you are, only what you do.
