I have often thought that the best way to define a man's character would be to seek out the particular mental or moral attitude in which, when it came upon him, he felt himself most deeply and intensely active and alive. At such moments there is a voice inside which speaks and says: "This is the real me!"

What comes naturally to me? For just a moment, ignore what you have been taught. Ignore what society has told you. Ignore what others expect of you. Look inside yourself and ask, “What feels natural to me? When have I felt alive? When have I felt like the real me?” No internal judgments or people-pleasing. No second-guessing or self-criticism. Just feelings of engagement and enjoyment. Whenever you feel authentic and genuine, you are headed in the right direction.

Your real self may be hiding somewhere, look for it within, when you find yourself, you can freely be what you want to be.

The thing to do seems to be to find out what you are really like inside, deep down, as a member of the human species and as a particular individual.

If you listen to your own inner voice, it will tell you where you are now, and which method will work best for you in your evolution towards the light.

Ask what makes you come alive and go do it.

It's worth making time to find the things that really stir your soul. That’s what makes you really feel alive. You have to say ‘no’ to other things you’re used to, and do it with all your heart.

There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself. It is the only true guide you will ever have.

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become.

If you want to know your true nature, you must have yourself in mind all the time, until the secret of your being stands revealed.

The unique personality which is the real life in me, I can not gain unless I search for the real life, the spiritual quality, in others. I am myself spiritually dead unless I reach out to the fine quality dormant in others. For it is only with the god enthroned in the innermost shrine of the other, that the god hidden in me, will consent to appear.

Remember, the thoughts that you think and the statements you make regarding yourself determine your mental attitude. If you have a worthwhile objective, find the one reason why you can achieve it rather than hundreds of reasons why you can’t.
