Introspection is a devouring monster. You have to feed it with much material, much experience, many people, many places, many loves, many creations, and then it ceases feeding on you.

It would not take a monster to destroy a monster - but light, light to drive out darkness.

I usually solve problems by letting them devour me.

Do not feed the monsters.
Some are wandering thought forms, looking for a place to set up house.
Some are sent to you deliberately. They come from arrows of gossip, jealousy or envy — and inadvertently from thoughtlessness.
They feed on your attention, and feast on your fear.

The whole question here is: am I a monster, or a victim myself?

Everyone thinks their monsters are visible to the world, but they're not - they're figments of our overblown imaginations, warped projections of our own self-image. Once you stop seeing them, they'll fully disappear. Yes, it's that easy.

We did not ask if he had seen any monsters, for monsters have ceased to be news. There is never any shortage of horrible creatures who prey on human beings, snatch away their food, or devour whole populations; but examples of wise social planning are not so easy to find.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster.
