We need more inclusiveness of women in governance, allocation of appointments, in policy making and other aspect of leadership in the country. When both sexes work together a great lot of differences would be made and our nation would be best positioned to tackle most of the problems, which plagued our budding democracy.

More than ever before, Women in position should not remain silent on issues they have the capacity to speak up on. This is most especially related to women in power.

I call for more affirmative actions for women, particularly those in Parliament, to ensure the equitable appointment of women into leadership positions.

In order to encourage more women participation in leadership and government, the world should give them the support they require and create space for them.

We are committed to ensuring that women's representation is achieved. Yes, there are challenges— for instance, in the executive, the representation stands at 26%, when it should be 35%. However, the situation in parliament is much better than in the executive.

Women should participate in politics. Perhaps some women face resistance from their husbands but that should not happen because women can as well articulate ideas as much as men

We look forward to having more women in Parliament, local authorities, and other leadership positions.This will help us in solving issues of women disempowerment.

If women really to take part in decision making process of the country they should take such bold challenges by competing with men in all aspects of governances .

We definitely need more women in decision-making and particularly in parliaments. For example in the DRC, they have a constitution that acknowledges parity, but they need the law to effect that. And in addition to the law, they also need to make investments in women, their education, their ability to actually participate in diplomacy and therefore, in the decision-making that goes along. In addition, there are a number of investments that need to be made in line with the laws aimed at empowering women.

The role of women is strong and we have addressed this quite often. We have a number of women in decision-making positions in the legislature, in the communities and in regions, and we have now acquired 30% representation by women

The more women were made to head institutions and other places of influence in the governance structure, the more young women would be inspired to go into public service without the fear of intimidation or being looked down upon.

But we should applaud ourselves where we have women in these positions because in some respects we have moved up, more so in the corporate world where there is more of a level playing field than in politics. This perhaps is because in politics the chances for women to make it higher up are harder.
