We need to actually tell the stories in a way that helps people understand both what the problem is as well as the solution. Because I don’t think it’s just about being reactive. It’s about putting forward a solution — and I can assure you that the right wing is definitely already doing this. They are already helping people imagine.

I for one believe that if you give people a thorough understanding of what confronts them and the basic causes that produce it, they'll create their own program, and when the people create a program, you get action.

He tells us that commercials which start by setting up a problem, then wheel up your product to solve the problem, then prove the solution by demonstration, sell four times as many people as commercials which merely preach about the product.

That is exactly what brought us here, to understand the problems then embark on advocacy where necessary which we hope will yield and some of these problems will be addressed.

If you can imagine a solution, you can make it happen.

I believe that when you find problems, you should also find solutions.

I am motivated to act when I see people or members of my community hurting —physically, emotionally, and spiritually – and when the vulnerable population experience health challenges.

Look at the problems such as they are issues, and see those issues as they are opportunities and you have to step into them.

It's not easy to get someone to take action. That ability and the will to act has to come from deep within us so that we can do what must be done and we need to know how to get people and how to move people to actually take action. And if we get a majority of people who actually understand and feel it themselves, then we are the people that are also going to move the leaders to take action.

Change happens only when you could educate and inspire others. When you could use facts to create faith in what's possible... The easy part will be to write papers for your peers... The harder part, and the one you should think about, is how are you going to explain inconvenient truths to people who may not want to hear them. How are you going to rouse an audience to action?

Once I found an issue enough people cared about, I could take them into action. With enough actions, I could start to build power.

Once people stop making excuses, stop blaming others, and take ownership of everything in their lives, they are compelled to take action to solve their problems.

Sometimes understanding other people’s problems is the key to finding opportunities.

Whatever the problem, be part of the solution. Don’t just sit around raising questions and pointing out obstacles.
