Collectively as women we need to do something different, we need to support each other. Support the young ones, even as we transition and deal with the whole question of what sort of families do we want because the families are the most basic unit.

I really felt very strongly that we have to support these women. We need to support each other.

As a woman, I think it’s always important you have support. I don’t think you can achieve a lot without support. And of course, your support can be from whoever you feel can support you.

I believe that Women should support women but you need to back it up with actions and truly mean it.

We should have the heart to support another woman more whether she has got means or no means. I don't need to be given anything by any woman for me to support her. I should be able to support them because it is the right thing to do.

Today’s woman needs to see herself bond better with her fellow women because together we achieve more.

The woman is the core. She holds us up. It is essential to support women, if we want to make a difference.

Until we command the exact same salary as every male counterpart, I feel a political desire to stand by other women. If we don’t stand together, that equality will never be fully realized, and that bothers me. I see very little in our culture, actually, of women necessarily standing up for one another. I think there’s still an underlying fear if one woman has the light shone upon her, it takes away from your light, which of course is not the case at all. But I think when you’re young, you maybe fear that.

Women need to trust each other more because that way it’s easier to create what can be a foundation for a solid support system, be it an organisation or a personal relationship.

Let’s be supportive to our wives

I think women need more representation. Not just because we are women, but because we are incredible athletes. Incredible athletes should all be given the same opportunities.

I think every female footballer can relate to a woman working in a male-dominated area and championing it. We need to make sure that we support each other.

I think if more women and athletes are vocal about equality and their rights, whether it’s in the business world or sports, having those kinds of strong characters can only lead to a better future. We need to speak up and demand more!
