Not everyone was as good at creation as they were at complaining.

If you’re into anything and nobody is appreciating you it’s like you’re not doing anything. But so far you have people around you, appreciating your work, it inspires you to forge ahead.

The point came when people were doing things I didn't feel competent to do myself. I'm not being modest, I honestly get lost. I was lucky in spotting what I did when I did, but there comes a point where you realise what you're doing is not going to be much good.

People do not recognise that there’s a lot of talent; a lot of energy that go into putting up a production.

The other problem with saying that people like that are just a product of their time is that not everyone at that time did think like that, and it kinda lets them off the hook. A lot of people thought that slavery was okay, but you know what: The slaves didn’t. And they said so, pretty loudly and often. So if other people thought that slavery was alright, it wasn’t ‘cause they didn’t know, it’s because they chose not to listen to that. They chose not to know.
