The people of the Qur'an (those who recite and those who memorize the Qur'an) will be in the highest level (in Heaven) from amongst all of the people with the exception of the Prophets and Messengers. Thus, do not seek to degrade the people of the Qur'an, nor take away their rights, for surely they have been given a high rank by Allah.

There are various levels above and below the human through which the individual soul may pass in the course of its reincarnations — the angelic, the titanic, the animal, the purgatories, and the realm of the frustrated ghosts.

Since quoting the Quran may get this book banned, I will merely give the verse numbers...

My understanding was lifted up into Heaven, and there I saw three heavens: of which sight I marvelled greatly. And though I see three heavens — and all in the blessed manhood of Christ — none is more, none is less, none is higher, none is lower, but even-like in bliss.

There is room in heaven for a vast multitude, yea, room enough for all mankind that are or ever shall be; Luke xiv. 22, “Lord it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.” It is not with the heavenly temple as it often is with houses of public worship in this world, that they fill up and become too small and scanty for those that would meet in them, so that there is not convenient room for all. There is room enough in our heavenly Father’s house. This is partly what Christ intended in the words of the text, as is evident from the occasion of his speaking them.

There are seven levels!

The short ladder of spiritual progress – which is at the same time both small and great – has five rungs leading to perfection.

One who recites ten verses (ayat) of the Qur'an every night will not be counted amongst the negligent ones (Ghafilin); and one who recites fifty verses (ayat) will be written as those who remember Allah (Dhakirin); and one who recites one hundred verses (ayat) will be written down as the obedient and worshipper of Allah (Qanitin).

Most of our students are familiar with the thought of the four stages of the Path of Holiness, and are aware that a man who has passed through them and attained to the level of the Asekha has achieved the task set before humanity during this chain-period, and is consequently free from the necessity of reincarnation on this planet or on any other. Before him then open seven ways among which he must choose. Most of them take him away from this earth into wider spheres of activity, probably connected with the solar system as a whole, so that the great majority of those members of our humanity who had already reached this goal have passed entirely out of our ken.

The total religion called Islam may be said to consist of the levels of islam, iman, and ihsan, or surrender, faith, and spiritual beauty. The Quran refers often to the muslim, the possessor of surrender, the mu’min, the possessor of faith, and the muhsin, the possessor of virtue. Although the Quran emphasizes that all Muslims stand equally before God, it also insists that human beings are distinguished in rank according to their knowledge of the truth and virtue, as in the verses, “Are those who know equal with those who know not?” (39:9), to which the Quran gives the resounding answer of no, and, “Verily, those of you most close to God are those who are the best in conduct” (59:13).

The entire heaven, making its parts everywhere harmonize with him, is filled with spirits emanating out of the Sun. For this god is ruler of five orbits in the heavens, and whilst traversing three out of these orbits, he produces in three the Graces, themselves three in number, the remaining circles form the Scales to the Balance of supreme Necessity.

إذ يبعد أن يكون المراد بقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم الطهور نصف الإيمان عمارة الظاهر بالتنظيف بإفاضة الماء وإلقائه وتخريب الباطن وإبقائه مشحونا بالأخباث والأقذار هيهات هيهات والطهارة لها أربع مراتب المرتبة الأولى تطهير الظاهر عن الأحداث وعن الأخباث والفضلات المرتبة الثانية تطهير الجوارح عن الجرائم والآثام المرتبة الثالثة تطهير القلب عن الأخلاق المذمومة والرذائل الممقوتة المرتبة الرابعة تطهير السر عما سوى الله تعالى وهي طهارة الأنبياء صلوات الله عليهم والصديقين
