We are absent, you and I; we are present, you and I.

لا نلتقي الا وداعا عند مفترق الحديث

تقول لي مثلا:تزوج اي امرأة من

الغرباء أجمل من بنات الحي,لكن,

لا تصدق أية امرأة سواي . ولا تصدق

ذكرياتك دائما . لا تحترق لتضيء أمك ،

تلك مهنتها الجميلة . لا تحن إلى مواعيد

الندى . كن واقعيا كالسماء. ولا تحن

إلى عباءة جدك السوداء، أو رشوات

جدتك الكثيرة ، وانطلق كالمهر في الدنيا .

وكن من أنت حيث تكون . واحمل

عبء قلبك وحده ... وارجع إذا

اتسعت بلادك للبلاد وغيرت أحوالها
