To Renie, my five-star wife- who for thirty years has inspired me to do my utmost in the service of my country. To her love, courage, sacrifices, understanding, and guidance I attribute whatever success I may have achieved.

I don't hate you, although, I should. But I don't. But I am grateful for what you did. It made me stronger. Healthier. Happier. It made me appreciate the people who are still here. Thank you. Because of you, I know the difference between what I deserve and what I don't. Between what I want and what I don't need. Between who to love and who to let go.

I don't think we would have gotten that across the finish line without all of her hard work. I think without her it wouldn't have happened, so she deserves a ton of credit for that.

how I loved her. How grateful I am to her for the freedom she allowed me to act as my conscience dictated, and how much I would have liked to spare her the bad days she so often had.
