In our overcommunicated society, the paradox is that nothing is more important than communication.

We have heard many times that tired, grimy phrase: 'Failure of communication...' and this phrase has been fixed to my work quite consistently. I believe the contrary. Listen with curiosity. Speak with honesty. Act with integrity. The greatest problem with communication is we don’t listen to understand. We listen to reply. When we listen with curiosity, we don’t listen with the intent to reply. We listen for what’s behind the words.

The fact that we are I don't know how many millions of people, yet communication, complete communication, is completely impossible between two of those people, is to me one of the biggest tragic themes in the world.

I always say that all problems happen due to miscommunication between people. That's the birthplace.

I think the biggest gap in understanding is between users and nonusers. This is the biggest gap.
