But you have to allow a little for the desire to evangelize when you think you have good news.

If the Lord wants to use me as a sort of a David-voice in the face of the Goliath of our sinful culture, you know I'm ready to pull out the slingshot.

Even though I don't personally believe in the Lord, I try to behave as though He was watching.

If I could believe in myself, why not give other improbabilities the benefit of the doubt? I accepted the idea that an omniscient God had cast me in his own image and that he watched over me and guided me from one place to the next. The virgin birth, the resurrection, and the countless miracles -my heart expanded to encompass all the wonders and possibilities of the universe.

A bell, though, that's fucked up.

If you wish to strive for peace of soul and pleasure, then believe; if you wish to be a devotee of truth, then inquire.

[If I had literally heard the voice of Jesus] I'd check myself in to see a psychiatrist. I don't hear voices and anyone who does should really see a psychiatrist and get some help.

"Without faith?" I countered, and the voice said: "You have more faith than you know."

Sometimes you have to take those first steps, take that leap of faith, and inspire God to catch you.
