You either believe what you think or you question it. There’s no other choice.

If you wish to strive for peace of soul and pleasure, then believe; if you wish to be a devotee of truth, then inquire.

I want to question my belief, so that what is left after I have questioned it, will be even stronger.

You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you.

Ask whatever challenges dead and thoughtless beliefs.

Here the ways of men divide. If you wish to strive for peace of soul and happiness, then believe; if you wish to be a disciple of truth, then inquire.

Sometimes you have to lose your mind before you come to your senses.

Test yourself on mankind. It is something that makes the doubter doubt, the believer believe.

Examine, inquire.
Look into the nature of things.
Search out the grounds of your opinions,
the for and against.
Know why you believe, understand what you believe,
and possess a reason for the faith that is in you.

And belief is a choice. It is simply a thought you choose to think over and over until it becomes automatic.

You have to trust yourself and choose to believe or not to believe what someone says to you.

The stronger your beliefs, the stronger your reasons
to question them regularly. Don’t simply believe everything
you think you believe.
