The only thing I regret about my past is the length of it. If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner.

I don’t dwell on regrets. There are many things in my life I could, with hindsight, have done differently but I don’t regret them. The mistakes have contributed to who and where I am today.

Regret for things we have done can be tempered by time, it is regret for things we have not done that is inconsolable.

Not having any regrets might actually be my biggest regret. I wish I was capable of feeling regret.

There are many crossroads in life. All regrets stem from what happened at one moment we never imagined would happen to us. When our own action brings about an unexpected result, how can we not experience huge regret? After all, do we ever get another shot?

Regret is productive only of error. I care not what I was, or what any one was. I only look for what I am each moment. For as each moment is and at once is not, it must follow that if we think of the past we forget the present, and while we forget, the moments fly by us, making more past. Then regret nothing, not even the greatest follies of your life, for they are gone, and you are to work in the present which is both past and future at once. So then, with that absolute knowledge that all your limitations are due to Karma, past or in this life, and with a firm reliance ever now upon Karma as the only judge, who will be good or bad as you make it yourself, you can stand anything that may happen and feel serene despite the occasional despondencies which all feel, but which the light of Truth always dispels. Regrets are illuminations come too late.

Fear is stupid, so are regrets.

If the only significant history of human thought were to be written, it would have to be the history of its successive regrets and its impotences.

History is the consequence not only of people’s actions, but also of their forgetfulness.

It's always the idle habits you acquire which you will regret. Father said that. That Christ was not crucified: he was worn away by a minute clicking of little wheels. That had no sister.

The mistakes of history might be gradually forgotten, but historical truth cannot be forgotten, since forgetting history could lead to the recurrence of the same mistakes.

For my own part, regret nothing. Have lived life, free from compromise...and step into the shadow now without complaint.
