Love does not imply pacifism.

Love is no assignment for cowards.

Reason is not what decides love.

Of course love is never earned. It is a grace we give one another. Anything we need to earn is only approval.

Love cannot be forced.

Love doesn't always come in convenient packages.

But reason does not govern love.

Love is from another realm. We cannot manufacture it on demand. Nor can we subdue it when it appears. Love is not our choice to make.

Love is giving, marriage is buying and selling. You can't put love into a contract.

Love is not a habit, a commitment, or a debt. It isn't what romantic songs tell us it is - love simply is.

Love is involuntary. It does not often run in a yoke with prudence.

Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.

Material things are no replacement for human, emotional love.

Love has nothing to do with good reasons.
