I’m hoping that the Catholic Church is going to be more present in our neighborhoods and our communities and that we are reaching out, because we believe in Jesus and love him so much that we want to share him with everyone and bring him to the lives of all, not just Catholics.

The laity are called to make Jesus present in the world, in everyday life, going out without fear to bring our faith to the streets, to the shopping center, to school, to parks, to sport, at work, in hospital, in culture, to transform temporal realities according to the values of the Kingdom.

The Church should play an active role in people's lives; it should reach out to them wherever they live and try to understand what their real needs are.

The church speaks finally in that it prays for the world.

the love of our Lord must always be made accessible, so that anyone can see that all the works of perfect Christian virtue spring from love and have no other objective than to arrive at love.19

the Church should be the place where a word reverberates right into the world.

The one thing she [Mary] did and does is the one thing that we all have to do, namely, to bear Christ into the world.

Ahora somos bendecidos y ahora bendecimos al mundo.

We wanted to bring some love to the world. I thought we were good at doing that. Bringin' love to the world.

Today, Christians can celebrate this feast with full conviction that Christ has given a fuller meaning to the festival of light.

The Church is the members. They are the ones who willingly and joyfully give… to help those of us in need.

The more this "romanity" is felt in the daily existence of Priests and of the other lay faithful, the more effective will be our contribution towards the building up of the Church in Europe and, from Europe, in the whole world.

Let this be an opportunity to bear witness to Christ, a new form of evangelization that perhaps appeals more to young people. Certainly, this is the moment when the Church uses you to go out into the world.

Our people, they do need the presence of the Catholic Church, this is the task of the Catholic Church today, to be the Good Samaritan.
