Justice may wink a while, but see at last.

Justice inclines her scales so that wisdom comes at the price of suffering

God's justice, tardy though it prove perchance,
Rests never on the track until it reach

Justice will win -- because might does not make right, and the only path to lasting peace is when people know that their dignity will be respected and that their rights will be upheld. And citizens, like nations, will never settle for a world where the big are allowed to bully the small. Sooner or later, they fight back.

May good prevail, and justify my deed.

In the last analysis sound judgment will prevail.

Justice is a temporary thing that must at last come to an end; but the conscience is eternal and will never die.

Tho' Doubt's beleaguering forces hem us in, Yet Truth upon the Serpent's head shall trample. The cause of Love shall win —

Justice limps along, but gets there all the same.

Truth, crushed to earth, shall rise again;
The eternal years of God are hers;
But Error, wounded, writhes with pain,
And dies among his worshippers.
