To notice is to select, to
regard some bits of perception, or some features of the world, as more
noteworthy, more significant, than others. To these we attend, and the
rest we ignore — for which reason conscious attention is at the same time ignorance despite the fact that it gives us a vividly
clear picture of whatever we choose to notice.

If you say what it is that you see, you erect an image and an idol, and you misdirect people. So it’s better to destroy people’s beliefs than to give them beliefs. I know it hurts, but it’s true. It’s what cracks the eggshell and lets out the chick.
