Before You Can Lead Others, You Must Be Able to Lead Yourself.

One must educate oneself

In my personal and professional Jewish life, my belief is that we must educate ourselves before we can reach out to others.”

Nobody can educated by himself. Education is the transmission of tradition through a witness. And the educator should be a master. Should be someone with enough to authority, not to impose but propose. But if you are not convinced you are unable to propose.

He that would govern others, first should be the master of himself.

To Be a Great Leader, First Become a Great Person.

Before you can lead others, you must first take complete command of yourself.

BE A LEADER A leader’s job often includes changing your people’s attitudes and behaviour. Some suggestions to accomplish this: PRINCIPLE 1 Begin with praise and honest appreciation. PRINCIPLE 2 Call attention to people’s mistakes indirectly. PRINCIPLE 3 Talk about your own mistakes before criticising the other person. PRINCIPLE 4 Ask questions instead of giving direct orders. PRINCIPLE 5 Let the other person save face. PRINCIPLE 6 Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be ‘hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise.’ PRINCIPLE 7 Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to. PRINCIPLE 8 Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct. PRINCIPLE 9 Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

The lover of education labors first of all to educate himself.

A leader must be inspired by the people before a leader can inspire the people.

If you want to become a university lecturer then learn and listen to what the from the lecturers, if you want to be a great leader then learn about the leader you desire to become like in your life, you must live now the kind of life you want to experience in the future.

For you to be able to inform others and to educate them, you have to be informed yourself and be educated yourself.

Strictly speaking, every one must educate himself.

You must love those you lead before you can be an effective leader. You can certainly command without that sense of commitment, but you cannot lead without it.
