If you want to make progress, spend more time optimizing your environment.

Make it harder to do the things you want to stop doing, and make it easier to do things you want start doing.

Personal growth 101

With every piece of writing you publish, ask two questions:

1. What promise am I making to the reader?
2. Am I fulfilling that promise?

Iterate until number one is crystal clear and number two is undeniably true.

Most people are doing way too much to stay in the same place but not nearly enough to grow.

You are not the sum of the five people you surround yourself with.

You are the product.

Being around the right people doesn't lead to linear growth.

It leads to exponential growth.

Your first 50 reps of anything will suck.

But overcoming the fear of looking foolish as a beginner & embracing the monotony of practice is the only growth hack you need.

Stop letting the imaginary opinions of your high school friends keep you from writing on the internet

3. Figure out their problems
4. Build products to solve their problems
5. Extract proof you've solved their problem
6. Document/share your process along the way

Become a superconnector.

After you meet someone new, think about someone you should introduce them to.

Instead of a linear chain of connections, this creates a dense web of relationships.

It's hard to overestimate this compounding.
