"Was it a millionaire who said, "Imagine no possessions"?"

Imagine no possessions,
I wonder if you can;
No need for greed or hunger –
A brotherhood of man;
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

If what you own cannot be protected, you own nothing.

You have nothing. You posses nothing. You own nothing. You are free. All you have is what you are, and what you give.

"Was it a millionaire who said "imagine no possessions?"
A poor little schoolboy who said "we don't need no lessons?

Let my possessions vanish; let my honor, my body, livelihood, and everything else pass away. But may my virtuous mind never be lost.

You should own nothing except what you can carry on your back at a dead run.

What would you suggest I do? Give everything away and walk the streets? The Buddhist says, "Get rid of the possessions of the mind." Walking away from all the money would not accomplish that. It's like the Beatles. I couldn't walk away from the Beatles. That's one possession that's still tagging along, right?

having nothing and possessing all things,

I have everything, yet have nothing; and although I possess nothing, still of nothing am I in want.

Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need.

We are not rich by what we possess but by what we can do without.

Nature having given no property to anyone.

Property is impossible.
