It is better to starve to death in a calm and confident state of mind than to live anxiously amidst abundance.

It is better to die of hunger than to receive aid and be compelled to do things that are contrary to God's desire.

So what do you do when your dream dies?
When your dream dies, you give it up.

All meaningful change requires a genuine surrender. Yet, to surrender does not simply mean to give up; more to give up one’s usual self and allow something other to enter and redeem the lesser sense of self. In surrendering, we fall to the bottom of our arguments and seek to touch the origin of our lives again. Only then can we see as we were meant to see, from the depth of the psyche where the genius resides, where the seeds of wisdom and purpose were planted before we were born.

But though you’d never starve your body to wasting and still expect to go on, you starve your heart, yet act as though you can still draw on it forever without the debt ever coming due. If you fall — when you fall, you’re going to fall like a starving man.

Die as a sacrifice is more worthy then a suicide

I’d say never give up on your dreams. Destiny strikes you when you are least prepared, but as long as you are prepared your dream will come true.

Better lose your life than your soul…

If you surrender, you have already lost. If you refuse to give up, though, no
matter the odds against you, at least you have succeeded in trying.

Try something different. Surrender.

What are you waiting for in order to give up?

If you intend to improve, throw away such thoughts as these: if I neglect my affairs, I shall not have the means of living: unless I chastise my slave, he will be bad. For it is better to die of hunger and so to be released from grief and fear than to live in abundance with perturbation; and it is better for your slave to be bad than for you to be unhappy.

If the workers see themselves faced with defeat through starvation, they will prefer to go down fighting rather than fainting — and whether or not we leaders agree.

It is much better to die of hunger unhindered by grief and fear than to live affluently beset with worry, dread, suspicion and unchecked desire.
